1 Paul, an apostle (not of men nor by man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised him from the dead),
2 and all the brothers who are with me, to the churches of Galatia:
3 Grace and peace be to you , of God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 who gave himself for our sins to deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
5 to whom be glory forever and ever. centuries. Amen.
6 I am amazed that you have so quickly turned away from him who called you by the grace of Christ, to follow a different gospel.
7 Not that there is another, but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But if we, or an angel from heaven, preach to you another gospel than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
9 As we have said before, so now I repeat: If anyone preaches to you a different gospel from that which you have received, let him be accursed.
10 Do I now seek the favor of men, or that of God? Or do I try to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
11 But I tell you, brothers, that the gospel preached by me is not according to man;
12 For I neither received it nor learned it from any man, but by revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 For you have heard of my conduct once in Judaism, which greatly persecuted the church of God, and devastated it;
14 and in Judaism I surpassed many of my contemporaries in my nation, being much more zealous for the traditions of my parents.
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
16 to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with flesh and blood,
17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.
18 After three years, I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and I stayed with him fifteen days;
19 But I did not see any other of the apostles, except James the brother of the Lord.
20 In what I write to you, behold, before God, I do not lie.
21 Then I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia,
22 and I was not known by sight to the churches of Judea, which were in Christ;
23 They only heard it said: He who once persecuted us, now he preaches the faith that once devastated us.
24 And they glorified God in me.
1 After fourteen years, I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, also taking Titus with me.
2 But I went up according to a revelation, and so as not to run or have run in vain, I explained privately to those who had a certain reputation the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles.
3 But not even Titus, who was with me, even though he was a Greek, was forced to be circumcised;
4 And this despite the false brothers introduced secretly, who came in to spy on our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, to reduce us to slavery,
5 to whom we did not even for a moment agree to submit, so that the truth of the gospel might remain with us. you.
6 But of those who had a reputation for being something (what they once were does not matter to me; God is no respecter of persons), those of reputation communicated nothing new to me.
7 On the contrary, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision had been entrusted to me, as to Peter of the circumcision,
8 (for he who acted in Peter for the apostleship of the circumcision also acted in me toward the Gentiles). 9 And recognizing the grace that had been given to me, James, Cephas and John, who were
regarded as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand as a sign of fellowship, so that we might go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcision. .
10 They only asked us to remember the poor; which I also diligently endeavored to do.
11 But when Peter came to Antioch, I resisted him face to face, because he was to be condemned.
12 For before some came from James, he ate with the Gentiles; but after they came, he withdrew and separated himself, because he was afraid of those of the circumcision.
13 And the other Jews also participated in their pretense, so that even Barnabas was also carried away by their hypocrisy.
14 But when I saw that they were not walking uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before everyone: If you, being a Jew, live like the Gentiles and not like a Jew, why do you force the Gentiles to Judaize?
15 We, Jews by birth, and not sinners from among the Gentiles,
16 knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, we also have believed in Jesus Christ, to be justified by faith of Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
17 And if, seeking to be justified in Christ, we too are found to be sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? In no way.
18 For if I rebuild the same things that I destroyed, I become a transgressor.
19 For I am dead to the law through the law, that I might live to God.
20 I am crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
21 I do not reject the grace of God; For if justice were through the law, then Christ died for nothing.
1 Oh foolish Galatians! Who fascinated you not to obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was already clearly presented among you as crucified?
2 I only want to know this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing with faith?
3 Are you so foolish? Having begun with the Spirit, are you now going to end with the flesh?
4 Have you suffered so many things in vain? if it really was in vain.
5 He therefore who supplies you with the Spirit, and works wonders among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
6 So Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness.
7 Know therefore that those who are of faith are children of Abraham.
8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, gave the good news beforehand to Abraham, saying: In you all nations will be blessed.
9 So those of faith are blessed with the believing Abraham.
10 For all who depend on the works of the law are under a curse, for it is written: Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things written in the book of the law, to do them.
11 And that no one is justified with God by the law is evident, because: The righteous will live by faith;
12 and the law is not of faith, but says: He who does these things will live by them.
13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, becoming a curse for us (for it is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree),
14 so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might reach the Gentiles, so that By faith we would receive the promise of the Spirit.
15 Brothers, I speak in human terms: A pact, even if it is made by man, once ratified, no one invalidates it or adds to it.
16 Now the promises were made to Abraham, and to his seed. He does not say: And to the seeds, as if speaking of many, but as of one: And to your seed, which is Christ.
17 This therefore I say: The covenant previously ratified by God with Christ, the law that came four hundred and thirty years later, does not abrogate it, so as to make the promise void.
18 For if the inheritance is by law, it is no longer by promise; but God granted it to Abraham through promise.
19 So what is the law for? It was added because of transgressions, until the seed to whom the promise was made should come; and it was ordained through angels in the hand of a mediator.
20 And the mediator is not one alone; but God is one.
21 Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? In no way; for if the law given could give life, righteousness would truly be through the law.
22 But the Scripture shut everything up under sin, so that the promise that comes through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to believers.
23 But before faith came, we were confined under the law, shut up for that faith that was to be revealed.
24 So the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, so that we might be justified by faith.
25 But when faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor,
26 for you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus;
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is no longer a Jew or a Greek; there is neither slave nor free; there is no male or female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, and heirs according to the promise.
1 But I also say: As long as the heir is a child, he differs in nothing from the slave, although he is lord of all;
2 but he is under guardians and curators until the time appointed by the father.
3 So we also, when we were children, were in bondage under the rudiments of the world.
4 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman and born under the law,
5 to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father!
7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, also an heir of God through Christ.
8 Indeed, in times past, not knowing God, you served those who by nature are not gods;
9 But now, knowing God, or rather, being known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and poor rudiments, to which you want to enslave yourselves again?
10 You keep the days, the months, the times and the years.
11 I am afraid of you, that I have labored with you in vain.
12 I beg you, brothers, to become like me, for I also became like you. You have done me no wrong.
13 For you know that because of an illness of the body I proclaimed the gospel to you at the beginning;
14 and you did not despise me or reject me because of the trial that was in my body, but you received me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus.
15 Where, then, is that satisfaction that you experienced? Because I testify to you that if you could have, you would have cut out your own eyes to give them to me.
16 Have I become your enemy, then, for telling you the truth?
17 They are jealous for you, but not for good, but they want to separate you from us so that you may be jealous for them.
18 It is good to show zeal for good things always, and not only when I am present with you.
19 My little children, for whom I am again in labor pains, until Christ is formed in you,
20 I would like to be with you right now and change my tone, for I am perplexed about you.
21 Tell me, you who want to be under the law: have you not heard the law?
22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons; one from the slave, the other from the free.
23 But the slave was born according to the flesh; but that of the free, by the promise.
24 Which is an allegory, since these women are the two covenants; the one comes from Mount Sinai, which bears children for slavery; This is Hagar.
25 Because Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, since it, together with its children, is in slavery.
26 But Jerusalem above, which is the mother of us all, is free.
27 For it is written: Rejoice, O barren woman, you who do not give birth; Break out into joy and cry, you who have no labor pains; Because there are more children of the desolate than of the one who has a husband.
28 Therefore, brothers, we, like Isaac, are children of the promise.
29 But as then he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so also now.
30 But what does the Scripture say? Cast out the slave and her son, for she will not inherit the son of the slave with the son of the free woman.
31 Therefore, brothers, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.
1 Stand therefore firm in the liberty with which Christ has made us free, and do not be subject again to the yoke of slavery.
2 Behold, I, Paul, say to you that if you are circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.
3 And again I testify to every man who is circumcised, that he is bound to keep the whole law.
4 You have separated yourselves from Christ, you who are justified by the law; from grace you have fallen.
5 For we by the Spirit wait by faith for the hope of righteousness;
6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is worth anything, but faith working through love.
7 You ran well; Who hindered you from obeying the truth?
8 This persuasion does not come from him who calls you.
9 A little yeast leavens the entire dough.
10 I trust in the Lord for you, that you will not think otherwise; but he who disturbs you will bear the sentence, whoever he may be.
11 And I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? In that case the stumbling block of the cross has been removed.
12 Would that those who trouble you would be mutilated!
13 For you, brothers, were called to freedom; Only do not use freedom as an occasion for the flesh, but serve one another in love.
14 For the whole law is fulfilled in this one word: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
15 But if you bite and eat each other, be careful that you also do not consume one another.
18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 And the works of the flesh are manifest, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 idolatry, witchcraft, enmities, strife, jealousy, wrath, strife, dissensions, heresies,
21 envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things similar to these; About which I warn you, as I have told you before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,
23 meekness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
24 But those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.
26 Let us not become boastful, irritating one another, envying one another.
1 Brethren, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual, restore him in a spirit of meekness, considering yourself, lest you also be tempted.
2 Bear each other’s burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ.
3 For he who believes himself to be something, being nothing, deceives himself.
4 Therefore, let each one test his own work, and then he will have cause to boast only in himself, and not in another;
5 for each one will bear his own burden.
6 Let him who is taught in the word share in every good thing to him who teaches him.
7 Do not be deceived; God cannot be mocked: for whatever a man sows, that will he also reap.
8 For he who sows to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh; but he who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.
9 Let us not get tired of doing good; for in due time we will reap, if we do not faint.
10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, and especially to those of the family of faith.
11 See how large letters I write to you with my own hand.
12 As many as want to please in the flesh, these compel you to be circumcised, just so that they will not suffer persecution because of the cross of Christ.
13 For even those who are circumcised do not keep the law; but they want you to be circumcised, that they may boast in your flesh.
14 But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision is worth anything, but a new creation.
16 And to all who walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God.
17 From now on no one bothers me; because I carry the marks of the Lord Jesus on my body.
18 Brothers, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
