1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints and believers in Christ Jesus who are at Ephesus:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
4 as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him,
5 in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the pure affection of his will,
6 to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he made us accepted in the Beloved,
7 in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace,
8 which he made to abound for us in all wisdom and understanding,
9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure, which he had purposed in himself,
10 to gather all things together in Christ, in the dispensation of the fulness of times, both those that are in heaven and those that are on earth.
11 In him we also had an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will,
12 so that we who first hoped in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.
13 In him you also, having heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and having believed in him, were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
14 which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession , to the praise of his glory.
15 For this reason I also, having heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and of your love for all the saints,
16 I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers,
17 so that the God May our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him,
18 enlightening the eyes of your understanding, so that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 and what the surpassing greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of the power of his might,
20 which he worked in Christ, raising him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in the heavenly places,
21 over all rule and authority and power and dominion, and over every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the age to come;
22 and put all things under his feet, and gave him head over all things to the church,
23 which is his body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all
1 And he gave life to you, when you were dead in trespasses and sins,
2 in which you once walked, according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience,
3 among whom we also all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the will of the flesh and of the thoughts, and were by nature children of wrath, just like the rest.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us,
5 even when we were dead in sins, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
6 and raised us up together with him, and also He made us sit in the heavenly places with Christ Jesus,
7 to show in the ages to come the abundant riches of his grace in his kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God;
9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance for us to walk in.
11 Therefore remember that once upon a time you Gentiles in the flesh were called uncircumcision because of the so-called circumcision made with hands in the flesh.
12 At that time you were without Christ, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and alien to the covenants of promise, without hope and without God in the world.
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been made near by the blood of Christ
14 For he is our peace, who made both people one, breaking down the middle wall of separation,
15 abolishing in his flesh the entities, the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, to create in himself one new one. man, making peace,
16 and through the cross reconcile both to God in one body, killing enemies in it.
17 And he came and preached good news of peace to you who were far away, and to those who were near;
18 because through him we both have access by the same Spirit to the Father.
19 So you are no longer strangers and aliens, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of the household of God,
20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone,
21 in whom the whole building is, well coordinated, it grows to be a holy temple in the Lord;
22 in whom you are also being built together into the dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
1 For this cause I Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles;
2 if you have heard of the administration of the grace of God that was given to me toward you;
3 that the mystery was revealed to me by revelation, as I have briefly written before,
4 by reading which you can understand what my knowledge is in the mystery of Christ,
5 a mystery that in other generations was not made known to the sons of men , as now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit:
6 that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,
7 of which I was made a minister by the gift of the grace of God which has been given to me according to the operation of his power.
8 To me, who am less than the least of all saints, was given this grace to proclaim among the Gentiles the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9 and to make clear to all what is the dispensation of the mystery hidden from the centuries in God, who created all things;
10 so that the manifold wisdom of God may now be made known through the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,
11 according to his eternal purpose in Christ Jesus our Lord,
12 in whom we have security and access with confidence through faith in him;
13 Therefore I ask that you not faint because of my tribulations for you, which are your glory
14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,
16 that he may give you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man by his Spirit;
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, so that, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 you may be fully able to understand with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height,
19 and know the love of Christ, which surpasses all knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 And to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
21 to Him be glory in the church in Christ Jesus throughout all ages, forever. the ages. Amen.
1 I therefore, a prisoner in the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,
2 with all humility and meekness, patiently bearing with one another in love,
3 eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace;
4 one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in the same hope of your calling;
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all.
7 But to each of us grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
8 Therefore he says, Going up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men.
9 And what is he that he ascended, but that he also had first descended to the lower parts of the earth?
10 He who came down is the same one who also ascended above all the heavens to fill everything.
11 And he himself gave some apostles; to others, prophets; to others, evangelists; to others, pastors and teachers,
12 to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ,
13 until we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
14 so that we may no longer be fluctuating children, carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the stratagem of men who cunningly use the devices of error to deceive,
15 but that following the truth in love, we may grow in everything into him who is the head, that is, Christ,
16 from whom the whole body, well coordinated and united to each other by all the joints that mutually help each other, according to the proper activity of each member, receives its growth to be built up in love.
17 This therefore I say and require in the Lord: that you no longer walk as the other Gentiles walk in the vanity of their minds,
18 having their minds darkened, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, for the hardness of his heart;
19 who, after they lost all sensitivity, gave themselves over to lasciviousness to greedily commit all kinds of impurity.
20 But you have not thus learned Christ,
21 if you have truly heard him, and have been taught by him, according to the truth that is in Jesus.
22 As for your former way of life, put off the old man, which is corrupted according to deceitful desires,
23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
24 and put on the new man, created according to God in the righteousness and holiness of the truth.
25 Therefore, putting away lies, speak the truth each of you to his neighbor; because we are members one of another.
26 Be angry, but do not sin; Do not let the sun go down on your anger,
27 nor give place to the devil.
28 Let him who stole steal no more, but work, doing with his hands what is good, so that he may have something to share with him who is in need.
29 Let no corrupt word come out of your mouth, but that which is good for necessary edification, to give grace to the hearers.
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, wrath, wrath, clamor, and slander be put away from you, and all malice.
32 But be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.
1 Therefore be imitators of God as beloved children.
2 And walk in love, as Christ also loved us, and gave himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God for a fragrant aroma.
3 But fornication and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becomes saints;
4 neither dishonest words, nor foolishness, nor slander, which are not appropriate, but rather thanksgiving.
5 For you know this, that no fornicator, or unclean person, or covetous person, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
6 Let no one deceive you with vain words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience.
7 Therefore do not be partakers with them.
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light
9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness and truth),
10 proving what is pleasing to the Lord.
11 And do not participate in the fruitless works of darkness, but rather rebuke them;
12 because it is shameful even to speak of what they do in secret.
13 But all things, when they are revealed by the light, are made manifest; because light is what manifests everything.
14 Therefore he says, Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.
15 Therefore be careful how you walk, not as fools but as wise,
16 making the most of the time, because the days are evil.
17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
18 Do not get drunk with wine, in which there is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
19 speaking among yourselves in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts;
20 always giving thanks for everything to God and Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
21 Submit to one another in the fear of God.
22 Married women should be subject to their own husbands, as to the Lord;
23 for the husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the church, which is his body, and he is her Savior.
24 Therefore, as the church is subject to Christ, so let married women be subject to their husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,
26 to sanctify her, having cleansed her with the washing of water by the word,
27 to present her to himself, a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but being holy and blameless.
28 Likewise, husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
29 For no one ever hated her own flesh, but nourishes it and cares for it, just as Christ also the church,
30 because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones.
31 For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother, and he will cleave to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.
32 Great is this mystery; but I say this regarding Christ and the church.
33 Finally, let each of you also love his wife as himself; and the woman respects her husband.
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
2 Honor your father and your mother, which is the first commandment with a promise;
3 that it may go well with you, and that you may live long on the earth.
4 And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and admonition of the Lord.
5 Servants, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, in simplicity of heart, as Christ;
6 not with eye service, as men-pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7 Serving with good will, as serving the Lord and not men,
8 knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.
9 And you, masters, do the same to them, forsaking threats, knowing that their Lord and yours is in heaven, and that with him there is no partiality.
10 Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having finished all, to stand.
14 Therefore stand firm, having your loins girded with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and shod your feet with the readiness of the gospel of peace.
16 Above all, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the fiery darts of the evil one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
18 praying at all times with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and being vigilant therein with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints;
19 and for me, so that when I open my mouth the word may be given to me to boldly make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; May I boldly speak of him, as I must speak.
21 So that you also may know my affairs and what I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make known to you all things,
22 whom I sent to you for this very purpose, that you may know what concerns us, and that comfort your hearts.
23 Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Grace be to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with unchanging love. Amen
