1 When the Jehovah brings back the captivity of Zion, We will be like those who dream.
2 Then our mouth will be filled with laughter, And our tongue with praise; Then they will say among the nations: The Lord has done great things for these.
3 The Lord has done great things for us; We will be happy.
4 Bring back our captivity, O Lord, Like the streams of the Negev.
5 Those who sow in tears will reap in joy.
6 He who carries the precious seed will walk and cry; But he will come again with joy, bringing the sheaves of it.
1 Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain; If the Lord does not guard the city, the guard watches in vain.
2 It is unnecessary for you to get up early and go late to rest, and to eat bread of sorrows; Well, God will give sleep to his beloved.
3 Behold, children are an inheritance from the Lord; The fruit of the womb is a thing of esteem.
4 Like arrows in the hand of a mighty man, So are the children born in youth.
5 Blessed is the man who filled his quiver with them; He will not be put to shame When I speak with enemies at the gate.
1 Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways.
2 When you eat the work of your hands, you will be blessed, and it will be well with you.
3 Your wife will be like a vine that bears fruit on the sides of your house; Your children like olive plants around your table.
4 Behold, thus shall the man who fears the Lord be blessed.
5 Bless the Lord from Zion, and see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life,
6 And see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel.
1 They have distressed me greatly since my youth, Israel can now say;
2 They have distressed me greatly since my youth; But they have not prevailed against me.
3 The plowmen plowed on my back; They made long furrows.
4 Jehovah is just; He cut off the bonds of the wicked.
5 All who hate Zion will be put to shame and turned back.
6 They will be like the grass on the roofs, which withers before it grows;
7 Of which the reaper did not fill his hand, nor the sheaf maker his arms.
8 Nor did those who passed by say, Blessing of the Lord be upon you; We bless you in the name of Jehovah.
1 From the depths, O Lord, I cry to you.
2 Lord, hear my voice; Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.
3 JAH, if you look at sins, who, O Lord, can stand?
4 But there is forgiveness in you, so that you may be revered.
5 I waited for the Lord, my soul waited; I have waited on his word.
6 My soul waits for the Lord More than watchmen for the morning, More than watchmen for the morning.
7 Let Israel wait for the LORD, For with the LORD there is mercy, And abundant redemption with him;
8 And he will redeem Israel from all his sins.
1 Jehovah, my heart is not lifted up, nor my eyes lifted up; Nor did I walk in greatness, Nor in things too sublime for me.
2 Truly I have behaved and quieted my soul Like a child weaned from its mother; My soul is like a weaned child.
3 Wait, O Israel, in the Lord, from now on and forever.
1 Remember, O Lord, David, And all his affliction;
2 How he swore to the LORD, And he promised to the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 I will not enter the dwelling of my house, Nor will I go up upon the bed of my footstool;
4 I will not give sleep to my eyes, nor slumber to my eyelids,
5 Until I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.
6 Behold, in Ephrathah we heard it; We found it in the forest fields.
7 We will enter his tabernacle; We will prostrate ourselves before his footstool.
8 Arise, O Lord, to your resting place, you and the ark of your power.
9 Let your priests put on righteousness, and let your saints rejoice.
10 For the love of David your servant, do not turn away from your anointed.
11 Truly the Lord has sworn to David, And he will not go back on it: I will put some of your descendants on your throne.
12 If your children keep my covenant, and my testimony that I will teach them, their children also will sit on your throne forever.
13 For the Lord has chosen Zion; He wanted it as a room for himself.
14 This is my resting place forever; I will live here, because I have loved it.
15 I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy their poor with bread.
16 Likewise I will clothe his priests with salvation, and his saints will shout for joy.
17 There I will make the power of David flourish; I have prepared a lamp for my anointed.
18 I will clothe his enemies with confusion, But upon him his crown will flourish.
1 See how good and how delightful it is for brothers to live together in harmony!
2 It is like good oil on the head, which runs down on the beard, Aaron’s beard, and runs down to the hem of his garments;
3 Like the dew of Hermon, That descends on the mountains of Zion; For there Jehovah sends blessing, And eternal life.
1 Behold, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who are in the house of the Lord at night.
2 Lift up your hands to the sanctuary, And bless the Lord.
3 From Zion may the Lord bless you, who made the heavens and the earth.
1 Praise the name of the Lord; Praise him, servants of Jehovah;
2 You who are in the house of the Lord, In the courts of the house of our God.
3 Praise JAH, for he is good; Sing psalms to his name, for he is kind.
4 For JAH has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel for his possession.
5 For I know that the Lord is great, and our Lord is greater than all gods.
6 Whatever the LORD wills, he does it, in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and in all the deeps.
7 He brings up the clouds from the ends of the earth; He makes lightning for rain; He draws the winds from his deposits.
8 He is the one who killed the firstborn of Egypt, from man to beast.
9 He sent signs and wonders among you, O Egypt, Against Pharaoh, and against all his servants.
10 He destroyed many nations, And slew mighty kings;
11 To Sihon king of the Amorites, to Og king of Bashan, and to all the kings of Canaan.
12 And he gave their land as an inheritance, to his people Israel as an inheritance.
13 O Lord, your name is eternal; Your memory, O Jehovah, from generation to generation.
14 For the LORD will judge his people, and will have compassion on his servants.
15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands.
16 They have a mouth, and do not speak; They have eyes, and they do not see;
17 They have ears, but do not hear; There is no breath in their mouths.
18 Those who make them are like them, and all those who trust in them.
19 House of Israel, bless the Lord; House of Aaron, bless the Lord;
20 House of Levi, bless the Lord; You who fear the Lord, bless the Lord.
21 From Zion be blessed the Lord, Who dwells in Jerusalem. Hallelujah.
1 Praise the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy endures forever.
2 Praise the God of gods, For his mercy endures forever.
3 Praise the Lord of lords, For his mercy endures forever.
4 To the only one who does great wonders, For his mercy endures forever.
5 To him who made the heavens with understanding, For his mercy endures forever.
6 To him who spread the earth over the waters, For his mercy endures forever.
7 To him who made the great lights, For his mercy endures forever.
8 The sun to rule the day, For his mercy endures forever.
9 The moon and the stars to rule over the night, For his mercy endures forever.
10 To him who smote Egypt in his firstborn, For his mercy endures forever.
11 To him who brought Israel out from among them, For his mercy endures forever.
12 With a strong hand, and an outstretched arm, For his mercy endures forever.
13 To him who divided the Red Sea into parts, For his mercy endures forever;
14 And he made Israel pass through his midst, For his mercy endures forever;
15 And he threw Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea, for his mercy endures forever.
16 To him who shepherded his people in the wilderness, for his mercy endures forever.
17 To him who smote great kings, For his mercy endures forever;
18 And he slew mighty kings, For his mercy endures forever;
19 To Sihon king of the Amorite, For his mercy endures forever;
20 And to Og king of Bashan, For his mercy endures forever;
21 And he gave their land as an inheritance, For his mercy endures forever;
22 His servant is an inheritance to Israel, for his mercy endures forever.
23 He is the one who remembered us in our depression, For his mercy endures forever;
24 And he rescued us from our enemies, For his mercy endures forever.
25 He who gives food to every living creature, For his mercy endures forever.
26 Praise the God of heaven, For his mercy endures forever.
1 By the rivers of Babylon, There we sat, and even wept, Remembering Zion.
2 On the willows in the midst of it We hung our harps.
3 And those who had taken us captive asked us to sing, And those who had made us desolate asked us for joy, saying: Sing us some of the songs of Zion.
4 How shall we sing a song of the Lord in a land of strangers?
5 If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand lose its skill.
6 May my tongue stick to my palate, If I do not remember you; If I did not exalt Jerusalem as the priority matter of my joy.
7 O LORD, remember against the children of Edom the day of Jerusalem, When they said, Destroy it, demolish it to the foundations.
8 Daughter of Babylon the desolate, Blessed is he who repays you For what you did to us.
9 Blessed is he who will take and dash your children against the rock.
1 I will praise you with all my heart; Before the gods I will sing.
2 I will bow down to your holy temple, and I will praise your name for your mercy and your faithfulness; For you have magnified your name, and your word above all things.
3 On the day I cried, you answered me; You strengthened me with vigor in my soul.
4 All the kings of the earth will praise you, O Lord, because they have heard the words of your mouth.
5 And they will sing of the ways of the Lord, For the glory of the Lord is great.
6 For the Lord is exalted, and he cares for the humble, but for the haughty he looks from afar.
7 If I walk in trouble, you will revive me; You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand will save me.
8 The Lord will fulfill his purpose in me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not abandon the work of your hands.
1 O Jehovah, you have examined me and known me.
2 You have known my sitting and my rising; You have understood my thoughts from afar.
3 You have searched my walk and my rest, and all my ways are known to you.
4 For the word is not yet in my tongue, And behold, O Lord, you know it all.
5 You surrounded me behind and before, and laid your hand on me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It’s tall, I can’t understand it.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit? And where will I flee from your presence?
8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there; And if I make my footstool in Sheol, behold, there you are.
9 If I take the wings of the dawn and dwell at the end of the sea,
10 Even there your hand will guide me, and your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, Surely darkness will cover me; Even the night will shine around me.
12 Even darkness does not cover you, And the night shines like the day; The darkness and the light are the same to you.
13 For you formed my inward parts; You made me in my mother’s belly.
14 I will praise you; because formidable, marvelous are your works; I am amazed, And my soul knows it very well.
15 My body was not hidden from you, Well, I was formed in secret, And woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my embryo, And in your book were written all those things That were then formed, Without missing one of them.
17 How precious are your thoughts to me, O God! How big is their properties!
18 If I number them, they multiply more than the sand; I wake up, and I am still with you.
19 Truly, O God, you will put to death the wicked; Stay away, from me, bloodthirsty men!
20 For they speak blasphemies against you; Your enemies take your name in vain.
21 Do I not hate, O Lord, those who hate you, and am I enraged against your enemies?
22 I absolutely hate them; I consider them enemies.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my thoughts;
24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And guide me in the everlasting way.
1 Deliver me, O Lord, from the evil man; Keep me from violent men,
2 Who devise evil in the heart, Every day they plot strife.
3 They sharpened their tongue like a serpent; There is asp poison under his lips. Selah
4 Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; Deliver me from slanderous men, Who have thought to upset my steps.
5 The proud have hidden a snare and ropes from me; They have spread a net by the path; They have put ties on me. Selah
6 I have said to the Lord: You are my God; Hear, O Jehovah, the voice of my supplications.
7 Jehovah Lord, my mighty savior, You have sheltered my head in the day of battle.
8 Do not grant, O Lord, the desire of the wicked; Do not bring forward his thoughts, lest he become arrogant. Selah
9 As for those who surround me everywhere, The wickedness of their own lips will cover their heads.
10 Embers will fall on them; They will be thrown into the fire, In deep abysses from which they will not come out.
11 A foul-mouthed man will not stand firm in the land; Evil will hunt down the unjust man to bring him down.
12 I know that the Lord will take charge of the cause of the afflicted, And the right of the needy.
13 Surely the righteous will praise your name; The righteous will dwell in your presence.
1 Jehovah, I have cried to you; hurry to me; Listen to my voice when I call on you.
2 Let my prayer ascend before you like incense, The gift of my hands like the evening offering.
3 Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord; Guard the door of my lips.
4 Do not let my heart be inclined to do evil, To do ungodly works With those who do iniquity; And let me not eat of his delights.
5 That the just punishes me will be a favor, And that he rebukes me will be an excellent balm That will not hurt my head; But my prayer will be continually against their evils.
6 Their judges will be thrown off a cliff, And they will hear my words, which are true.
7 Like one who cleaves and breaks the earth, our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol.
8 Therefore, to you, O Lord, my eyes look; I have trusted in you; do not abandon my soul.
9 Keep me from the snares that have been laid for me, And from the snares of those who do iniquity.
10 Let the wicked fall together into their nets, while I will pass on.
1 With my voice I will cry to the Lord; With my voice I will ask Jehovah for mercy.
2 Before him I will lay out my complaint; In front of him I will express my anguish.
3 When my spirit was troubled within me, you knew my path. In the way he walked, they hid a snare for me.
4 Look to my right hand and observe, for there is no one who wants to know me; I have no shelter, nor is there anyone to take care of my life.
5 I cried to you, O Lord; I said: You are my hope, And my portion in the land of the living.
6 Hear my cry, for I am greatly afflicted. Deliver me from those who persecute me, for they are stronger than me.
7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise your name; The righteous will surround me, For you will be merciful.
1 O Jehovah, hear my prayer, hear my supplications; Answer me for your truth, for your justice.
2 And do not enter into judgment with your servant; Because no human being will justify himself before you.
3 For the enemy has pursued my soul; He has prostrated my life on the ground; He has made me dwell in darkness like those already dead.
4 And my spirit was troubled within me; My heart is desolate.
5 I remembered the days of old; I meditated on all your works; I reflected on the works of your hands.
6 I stretched out my hands to you, My soul to you like the thirsty land. Selah
7 Answer me quickly, O Jehovah, for my spirit faints; Do not hide your face from me, may I not be like those who go down to the grave.
8 Make me hear your mercy in the morning, For I have trusted in you; Let me know the path where I walk, Because I have elevated my soul to you.
9 Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord; I take refuge in you.
10 Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
11 By your name, O Lord, you will quicken me; You will make my soul anguish for your justice.
12 And in your mercy you will dissipate my enemies, And you will destroy all the adversaries of my soul, For I am your servant.
1 Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for battle, and my fingers for war;
2 My mercy and my castle, My strength and my deliverer, My shield, in whom I have trusted; He who holds my people under me.
3 O Lord, what is man that you think of him, or the son of man that you esteem him?
4 Man is like vanity; His days are like a passing shadow.
5 O Lord, he bows your heavens and descends; He touches the mountains, and they smoke.
6 He sends forth lightning and dissipates it, Send your arrows and trouble it.
7 He sends your hand from above; Redeem me, and bring me out of many waters, From the hand of strange men,
8 Whose mouth speaks vanity, And whose right hand is the right hand of lies.
9 O God, I will sing a new song to you; With a psaltery, with a decachord I will sing to you.
10 You, who give victory to kings, who rescue David his servant from the evil sword.
11 Rescue me, and deliver me from the hand of strange men, Whose mouth speaks vanity, And whose right hand is the right hand of lies.
12 Let our sons be like plants grown in their youth, Our daughters like carved corners like those of a palace;
13 Our barns are full, stocked with all kinds of grain; Our cattle, let them multiply by thousands and tens of thousands in our fields;
14 Let our oxen be strong for work; Let us not have an assault, nor have we to make an exit, Nor a cry of alarm in our squares.
15 Blessed is the people who have this; Blessed are the people whose God is Jehovah.
1 I will exalt you, my God, my King, And I will bless your name forever and ever.
2 Every day I will bless you, And I will praise your name forever and ever.
3 Great is the Lord, and worthy of supreme praise; And his greatness is inscrutable.
4 Generation to generation he will celebrate your works, And he will announce your mighty deeds.
5 In the beauty of the glory of your magnificence, And in your wonderful deeds I will meditate.
6 Men will speak of the power of your wonderful deeds, And I will publish your greatness.
7 They will proclaim the memory of your immense goodness, And they will sing of your justice.
8 Gracious and merciful is the LORD, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
9 The Lord is good to all, and his mercy over all his works.
10 Let all your works praise you, O Lord, and let your saints bless you.
11 Say the glory of your kingdom, and speak of your power,
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty deeds, and the glory of the magnificence of his kingdom.
13 Your kingdom is a kingdom for ever, and your dominion is for all generations.
14 The Lord upholds all who fall, And he lifts up all who are oppressed.
15 Everyone’s eyes wait on you, And you give them their food in due season.
16 You open your hand, And you fill every living creature with blessing.
17 Jehovah is just in all his ways, and merciful in all his works.
18 The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who truly call on him.
19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him; He will also hear their cry and save them.
20 The Lord preserves all those who love him, but he will destroy all the wicked.
21 My mouth will proclaim the praise of the Lord; And all bless his holy name eternally and forever.
1 Praise the Lord, O my soul.
2 I will praise the Lord in my life; I will sing psalms to my God as long as I live.
3 Do not trust in princes, nor in the son of man, for there is no salvation in him.
4 For the breath goes out of him, and he returns to the earth; On that same day his thoughts perish.
5 Blessed is he whose helper is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the Lord his God,
6 Who made the heavens and the earth, The sea, and all that is in them; That he keeps truth forever,
7 That he gives justice to the wronged, that he gives bread to the hungry. Jehovah sets the captives free;
8 The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; Jehovah raises up the fallen; Jehovah loves the righteous.
9 Jehovah protects foreigners; He supports the orphan and the widow, And the way of the wicked upsets.
10 The Lord will reign forever; Your God, O Zion, from generation to generation. Hallelujah.
1 Praise JAH, For it is good to sing psalms to our God; For sweet and beautiful is praise.
2 The Lord builds Jerusalem; He will gather the exiles of Israel.
3 He heals the brokenhearted, And he binds up his wounds.
4 He counts the number of the stars; He calls all of them by their names.
5 Great is our Lord, and of great power; And the understanding of it is infinite.
6 The Lord exalts the humble, and humbles the wicked to the ground.
7 Sing to the Lord with praise, Sing with the harp to our God.
8 He is the one who covers the heavens with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes the mountains produce grass.
9 He gives food to the beast, and to the children of the ravens that cry.
10 He does not delight in the strength of the horse, Nor does he take pleasure in the agility of man.
11 The Lord is pleased with those who fear him, and with those who hope for his mercy.
12 Praise the Lord, Jerusalem; Praise your God, O Zion.
13 For he has strengthened the bars of your doors; He blessed your children within you.
14 He gives peace in your territory; He will satisfy you with the best of wheat.
15 He sends his word to the earth; Word of him spreads quickly.
16 He gives snow like wool, And he scatters frost like ashes.
17 He casts the ice from him like pieces; Faced with his cold, who will resist?
18 He will send his word, and he will melt them; He will blow the wind from it, and the waters will flow.
19 He has revealed his words to Jacob, his statutes, and his judgments to Israel.
20 He has not done so with any other of the nations; And as for his judgments, they did not know them. Hallelujah.
17 And to the man he said, Because you obeyed the voice of your wife, and ate of the tree of which I commanded you, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it; cursed will be the land because of you; In pain you will eat of it all the days of your life.
18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat plants of the field.
19 In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the land, because from it you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust you will return.
20 And Adam called the name of his wife Eve, because she was the mother of all living.
21 And the LORD God made the man and his woman coats of skin, and clothed them.
22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is like one of us, knowing good and evil; Now therefore let him not stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever.
23 And the LORD brought him out of the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken.
24 So he cast out the man, and placed cherubim on the east side of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword moving on every side, to guard the way to the tree of life.
1 Praise Jehovah from heaven; Praise him in the highest.
2 Praise him, all of you his angels; Praise him, all of you his hosts.
3 Praise him, sun and moon; Praise him, all of you, shining stars.
4 Praise him, heaven of heavens, and the waters that are above the heavens.
5 Praise the name of the Lord; Because he commanded, and they were created.
6 He made them to be forever and ever; He gave them a law that will not be broken.
7 Praise Jehovah from the earth, The sea monsters and all the deeps;
8 Fire and hail, snow and vapor, The stormy wind that executes his word;
9 The mountains and all the hills, The fruit tree and all the cedars;
10 The beast and every animal, Reptiles and volatiles;
11 The kings of the earth and all the people, The princes and all the judges of the earth;
12 The young men and also the maidens, The old men and the children.
13 Praise the name of the Lord, For his name alone is exalted. His glory is upon earth and heaven.
14 He has exalted the might of his people; Let all his saints praise him, the children of Israel, the people close to him. Hallelujah.
1 Sing a new song to the Lord; Praise of him be in the congregation of saints.
2 Let Israel rejoice in his Maker; Let the children of Zion rejoice in his King.
3 Praise his name with dance; With tambourine and harp sing to him.
4 For the Lord delights in his people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.
5 Let the saints rejoice in their glory, And let them sing even on their beds.
6 Exalt God with your throats, And double-edged swords in your hands,
7 To execute vengeance among the nations, And punishment among the people;
8 To bind their kings with fetters, and their nobles with chains of iron;
9 To execute on them the judgment decreed; This will be glory to all his saints. Hallelujah
1 Praise God in his sanctuary; Praise him in the magnificence of his firmament.
2 Praise him for his exploits; Praise him according to the multitude of his greatness.
3 Praise him with the sound of a trumpet; Praise him with psaltery and harp.
4 Praise him with timbrel and dance; Praise him with strings and flutes.
5 Praise him with resounding cymbals; Praise him with cymbals of joy.
6 Everything that breathes praises JAH. Hallelujah
