1 Judge me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity; I have also trusted in Jehovah without wavering.
2 Search me, O Lord, and test me; Examine my intimate thoughts and my heart.
3 For your mercy is before my eyes, and I walk in your truth.
4 I have not sat with hypocritical men, Nor have I entered with those who walk disingenuously.
5 I hated the gathering of evildoers, And I never sat with the wicked.
6 I will wash my hands in innocence, And so I will walk around your altar, O Lord,
7 To exclaim with a voice of thanksgiving, And to tell all your wonders.
8 O Lord, I have loved the habitation of your house, and the dwelling place of your glory.
9 Take not away my soul with sinners, Nor my life with bloodthirsty men,
10 In whose hands is evil, And his right hand is full of bribes.
11 But I will walk in my integrity; Redeem me, and have mercy on me.
12 My foot has been upright; In the congregations I will bless Jehovah.
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; Who will I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the evil ones, my distressers and my enemies, gathered together against me, to eat my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
3 Although an army encamps against me, my heart will not fear; Even if war arises against me, I will be confident.
4 One thing I have asked of the Lord, this will I seek; May I be in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.
5 For he will hide me in his tabernacle in the day of evil; He will hide me in the secret places of his dwelling; He will set me high on a rock.
6 Then he will lift up my head above my enemies around me, And I will sacrifice sacrifices of joy in his tabernacle; I will sing and sing praises to Jehovah.
7 Hear, O Lord, my voice with which I cry to you; Have mercy on me, and answer me.
8 My heart has said of you: Seek my face. I will seek your face, O Lord;
9 Do not hide your face from me. Do not turn away your servant in anger; You have been my help. Do not leave me nor forsake me, God of my salvation.
10 Even though my father and mother forsake me, Yet the Lord will take me in.
11 Teach me your way, O Lord, and guide me in the path of righteousness because of my enemies.
12 Do not hand me over to the will of my enemies; For false witnesses have risen against me, and those who breathe cruelty.
13 I would have fainted, if I did not believe that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord; Be strong, and let your heart be encouraged; Yes, wait for Jehovah
1 I will cry to you, O Lord. My rock, do not ignore me, so that I am not, leaving me, like those who descend to the grave.
2 Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry to you, When I lift up my hands toward your holy temple.
3 Do not take me away with the wicked, And with those who do iniquity, Who speak peace with their neighbors, But wickedness is in their hearts.
4 Give them according to their work, and according to the wickedness of their deeds; Give them what they deserve according to the work of their hands.
5 Because they have not heeded the acts of the LORD, nor the work of his hands, he will tear them down, and he will not build them.
6 Blessed be Jehovah, Who heard the voice of my supplications.
7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in him, and I was helped, So my heart rejoiced, And I will praise him with my song.
8 The Lord is the strength of his people, and the saving refuge of his anointed.
9 He saves your people, and blesses your inheritance; Pastoral and sustain them forever
1 Pay tribute to the Lord, O sons of the powerful, Give to the Lord the glory and the power.
2 Give to Jehovah the glory due to his name; Worship Jehovah in the beauty of holiness.
3 Voice of the Lord over the waters; The God of glory, Jehovah, thunders over many waters.
4 Voice of the Lord with power; Voice of Jehovah with glory.
5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; The Lord broke the cedars of Lebanon.
6 He made them skip like calves; To Lebanon and Sirion as sons of buffaloes.
7 The voice of the LORD pouring out flames of fire;
8 The voice of the Lord makes the desert tremble; Jehovah shakes the desert of Kadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord breaks down the oaks, and strips the forests bare; In his temple everything proclaims his glory.
10 The Lord presides over the flood, And the Lord sits king forever.
11 The Lord will give power to his people; Jehovah will bless his people with peace.
1 I will glorify you, O Lord, because you have exalted me, and have not allowed my enemies to rejoice over me.
2 Jehovah my God, I cried to you, and you healed me.
3 O Lord, you brought up my soul from Sheol; You gave me life, so that I would not descend into the grave.
4 Sing to the Lord, you his saints, And celebrate the memory of his holiness.
5 For his wrath is but a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime. Weeping will last at night, and joy will come in the morning.
6 In my prosperity I said, I will never be moved,
7 For you, Jehovah, established me with your favor as a strong mountain. You hid your face, I was troubled.
8 To you, O Lord, I will cry, and to the Lord I will plead.
9 What profit is there in my death when I go down to the grave? Will the dust praise you? Will it announce your truth?
10 Hear, O Lord, and have mercy on me; Jehovah, be my helper.
11 You have turned my mourning into dancing; You loosed my hair shirt, and girded me with joy.
12 Therefore I will sing to you, my glory, and I will not be silent. Jehovah my God, I will praise you forever.
1 In you, O Lord, I have trusted; May I never be confused; Deliver me in your justice.
2 Incline your ear to me, deliver me quickly; Be thou my strong rock, and fortress to save me.
3 For you are my rock and my castle; By your name you will guide me and direct me.
4 Bring me out of the net that they have hidden for me, For you are my refuge.
5 I commend my spirit into your hand; You have redeemed me, O Lord, God of truth.
6 I hate those who hope in illusory vanities; But I have hoped in the Lord.
7 I will rejoice and be glad in your mercy, because you have seen my affliction; You have known my soul in anguish.
8 You did not deliver me into the hand of the enemy; You put my feet in a spacious place.
9 Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am in distress; My eyes, my soul and my body have been consumed with sadness.
10 Because my life is spent in pain, and my years in sighing; My strength is exhausted because of my iniquity, and my bones are consumed.
11 From all my enemies I am the object of reproach, And of my neighbors much more, and the horror of my acquaintances; Those who see me outside flee from me.
12 I have been forgotten from his heart like a dead man; I have become like a broken glass.
13 For I hear the slander of many; Fear assails me from all sides, While they consult together against me And plan to take my life.
14 But I trust in you, O Lord; I say: You are my God.
15 My times are in your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies and my persecutors.
16 Make your face shine on your servant; Save me by your mercy.
17 Let me not be ashamed, O Lord, since I have called upon you; Let the wicked be ashamed, let them be mute in Sheol.
18 Let lying lips be silent, That speak hard things against the righteous With pride and contempt.
19 How great is your goodness, which you have kept for those who fear you, which you have shown to those who trust in you, before the sons of men!
20 In the secret of your presence you will hide them from the conspiracy of man; You will put them in a tabernacle protected from contention of tongues.
21 Blessed be the Lord, for he has made wonderful his mercy toward me in a fortified city.
22 I said in my haste: I am cut off from before your eyes; But you heard the voice of my prayers when he cried to you.
23 Love the Lord, all of you his saints; Jehovah protects the faithful, and he repays richly those who act arrogantly.
24 Be strong, all you who wait on the Lord, and let your heart take courage.
1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, and whose sin is covered.
2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not charge iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3 While I was silent, my bones grew old in my groaning all day long.
4 For your hand was heavy on me day and night; My greenery turned into summer dryness. Selah
5 I have declared my sin to you, and I have not hidden my iniquity. I said: I will confess my transgressions to the Lord; And you forgave the evil of my sin. Selah
6 For this reason every saint will pray to you at the time when you can be found; Certainly in the flood of many waters they will not reach him.
7 You are my refuge; you will keep me from anguish; With songs of deliverance you surround me. Selah
8 I will make you understand, and I will teach you the way in which you should walk; I will fix my eyes on you.
9 Do not be like the horse, or like the mule, without understanding, which must be held with a bridle and bridle, because otherwise they will not come near you.
10 There will be many pains for the wicked; But to him who waits on the Lord, mercy surrounds him.
11 Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous; And sing for joy, all you upright in heart.
1 Rejoice, O righteous, in the Lord; In the upright ones, praise is beautiful.
2 Acclaim to the Lord with the harp; Sing with psaltery and lyre.
3 Sing a new song to him; Play skilfully with shouting.
4 For the word of the Lord is right, and all his work is done faithfully.
5 He loves justice and justice; The earth is full of the mercy of Jehovah.
6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and all their host by the breath of his mouth.
7 He gathers together the waters of the sea as a heap; He puts the abyss into deposits.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world fear before him.
9 For he said, and it was done; He commanded, and he existed.
10 The LORD makes void the counsel of the nations, And he thwarts the schemes of the people.
11 The counsel of the Lord will stand forever; The thoughts of his heart for all generations.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah, the people whom he has chosen as his inheritance.
13 The Lord looked down from heaven; He saw all the sons of men;
14 From his dwelling place he looked upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
15 He formed the hearts of all of them; Pay attention to all his works.
16 The king is not saved by the multitude of the army, Nor does the mighty man escape by great strength.
17 The horse is in vain to be saved; The greatness of his strength will not be able to free anyone.
18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his mercy,
19 To deliver their souls from death, And to give them life in time of famine.
20 Our soul waits for the Lord; He’s our help and shield.
21 Therefore our hearts will rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.
22 Be your mercy, O Lord, upon us, as we hope in you.
1 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise will be in my mouth continually.
2 My soul will glory in the Lord; They will hear thereof, and be glad.
3 Magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and he delivered me from all my fears.
5 Those who looked upon him were enlightened, and his faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and he delivered him from all his troubles.
7 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he defends them.
8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in him.
9 Fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing.
10 The young lions need and are hungry; But those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing.
11 Come, children, hear me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 Who is the man who desires life, That he desires many days to see good?
13 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking deceit.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry.
16 The wrath of the Lord is against those who do evil, To cut off their memory from the earth.
17 The righteous cry, and the Lord hears, and he delivers them from all his troubles.
18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted; And he saves those who are contrite in spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord will deliver him from them all.
20 He keeps all his bones; Not one of them is broken.
21 He will put to death the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.
22 The Lord redeems the soul of his servants, and those who trust in him will not be condemned.
1 Dispute, O Jehovah, with those who contend against me; Fight against those who fight me.
2 Take hold of the shield and buckler, And arise to my help.
3 Take out your spear, close against my pursuers; Say to my soul: I am your salvation.
4 Let those who seek my life be ashamed and confounded; Let those who attempt my evil be turned back and ashamed.
5 Be like chaff before the wind, and the angel of the Lord will harass you.
6 Let their path be dark and slippery, and let the angel of the Lord pursue them.
7 For without cause they hid their net in a hole for me; Without a cause they dug a pit for my soul.
8 Let destruction avenge him without him knowing it, And the net that he hid catches him; With brokenness fall into it.
9 Then my soul will rejoice in the Lord; He will rejoice in his salvation.
10 All my bones will say: Jehovah, who is like you, Who rescues the afflicted from him who is stronger than he, And the poor and needy from those who rob him?
11 Evil witnesses arise; They ask me about what I don’t know;
12 They return evil to me for good, to afflict my soul.
13 But I, when they were sick, put on sackcloth; I afflicted my soul with fasting, And my prayer returned to my bosom.
14 As for my companion, as for my brother I walked; Like one who mourns his mother, in mourning he humiliated me.
15 But they rejoiced in my adversity, and came together; Despicable people gathered against me, and I did not understand it; They tore me to pieces without rest;
16 Like flatterers, scorners, and scoundrels, They gnashed at me with their teeth.
17 Lord, how long will you see this? Rescue my soul from its destruction, my life from the lions.
18 I will confess you in a large congregation; I will praise you among many people.
19 Let not those who are my enemies without cause rejoice over me, Nor let those who hate me without cause wink their eyes.
20 Because they do not speak peace; And against the meek of the earth they think deceitful words.
21 They widened their mouth against me; They said: Hey, hey, our eyes have seen it!
22 You have seen it, O Lord; don’t be silent; Lord, don’t go away from me.
23 Move and awaken to do me justice, my God and my Lord, to defend my cause.
24 Judge me according to your justice, Jehovah my God, and do not rejoice over me.
25 Do not say in your heart: Come, our soul! Do not say: We have devoured him!
26 Let those who rejoice in my evil be ashamed and confounded together; Let those who magnify themselves against me be clothed in shame and confusion.
27 Let those who are in favor of my just cause sing and rejoice, And always say: Let the Lord be exalted, Who loves the peace of his servant.
28 And my tongue will speak of your righteousness And your praise all day long.
1 The iniquity of the wicked tells me to my heart: There is no fear of God before his eyes.
2 He flatters himself, therefore, in his own eyes, That his iniquity will not be found and hated.
3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and fraud; He has stopped being sane and doing good.
4 He meditates evil on his bed; He is on a path not good, He does not hate evil.
5 Jehovah, your mercy reaches to the heavens, and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
6 Your righteousness is like the mountains of God, Your judgments are a great abyss. O Jehovah, you preserve man and animal.
7 How precious, O God, is your mercy! That is why the children of men take refuge under the shadow of your wings.
8 They will be completely satisfied with the fat of your house, And you will water them from the stream of your delights.
9 For with you is the spring of life; In your light we will see the light.
10 Extend your mercy to those who know you, And your justice to the upright in heart.
11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, And let not the hand of the wicked move me.
12 There fell the workers of iniquity; They were knocked down, and they will not be able to get up.
1 Do not be impatient because of evildoers, Nor be envious of those who do iniquity.
2 For like grass they will soon be cut down, And like green grass they will wither.
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; And you will dwell in the land, and feed on the truth.
4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord, And trust in him; and he will do.
6 He will display your righteousness like the light, And your righteousness like the noonday.
7 Keep silence before the Lord, and wait for him. Do not be upset because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who does evil.
8 Forsake wrath, and cast away wrath; Do not be in any way excited to do evil.
9 For the evil ones will be destroyed, But those who wait on the Lord will inherit the land.
10 For from now on there will be no evil; You will observe his place, and he will not be there.
11 But the meek will inherit the land, And they will be recreated in abundance of peace.
12 The wicked plots against the righteous, And his teeth gnash against him;
13 The Lord will laugh at him; Because he sees that his day is coming.
14 The wicked draw their sword and bend their bow, To strike down the poor and the needy, To kill the righteous.
15 His sword will enter his own heart, and his bow will be broken.
16 Better is the little of the righteous than the riches of many sinners.
17 For the arms of the wicked will be broken; But he who sustains the righteous is Jehovah.
18 The Lord knows the days of the perfect, And their inheritance will be forever.
19 They will not be put to shame in bad weather, And in days of famine they will be satisfied.
20 But the wicked will perish, And the enemies of the Lord will be consumed like the fat of rams; They will dissipate like smoke.
21 The wicked borrows and does not pay; But the just has mercy, and he gives.
22 For those blessed by him will inherit the land; And his cursed ones will be destroyed.
23 By the Lord the steps of a man are ordered, and he approves his way.
24 When a man falls, he will not remain prostrate, For the Lord holds his hand.
25 I was young, and I am old, And I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants who beg bread.
26 At all times he has mercy, and he lends; And his descendants are for blessing.
27 Turn away from evil and do good, and you will live forever.
28 For the Lord loves righteousness, And does not forsake his saints. They will be kept forever; But the offspring of the wicked will be destroyed.
29 The righteous will inherit the land, And they will live on it forever.
30 The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom, and his tongue speaks righteousness.
31 The law of his God is in his heart; Therefore his feet will not slip.
32 The wicked lies in wait for the righteous, And he seeks to kill him.
33 The Lord will not leave him in his hands, Nor will he condemn him when he is judged.
34 Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land; When sinners are destroyed, you’ll see.
35 I saw the wicked highly exalted, and spread like a green laurel.
36 But he passed away, and behold, he was no more; I searched for him, and he was not found.
37 Consider the blameless, and look upon the righteous; Because there is a happy ending for the man of peace.
38 But the transgressors will all be destroyed together; The future of the wicked will be extinguished.
39 But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord, and he is his strength in the time of trouble.
40 The Lord will help them and deliver them; He will deliver them from the wicked, and will save them, Because they trusted in Him.
1 Jehovah, do not rebuke me in your anger, nor punish me in your anger.
2 For your arrows have fallen on me, and your hand has descended on me.
3 There is nothing healthy in my flesh, because of your anger; Nor is there peace in my bones, because of my sin.
4 For my iniquities are heavy upon my head; Like a heavy burden they have fallen on me.
5 My sores sting and fester, Because of my madness.
6 I am bowed down, I am greatly humbled, I mourn all day long.
7 For my loins are full of burning, And there is nothing healthy in my flesh.
8 I am greatly weakened and crushed; I groan because of the shock of my heart.
9 Lord, all my desires are before you, And my sigh is not hidden from you.
10 My heart is troubled, my strength has left me, And even the light of my eyes is gone.
11 My friends and my companions stay far from my plague, And those close to me have turned away.
12 Those who seek my life make snares, And those who seek my evil speak iniquities, And devise frauds all day long.
13 But I, as if deaf, do not hear; I am like a mute that does not open his mouth.
14 Therefore I am like a man who does not hear, And in whose mouth there are no rebukes.
15 For in you, O Lord, I have hoped; You will answer, Jehovah my God.
16 I said: Do not rejoice over me; When my foot slips, do not magnify yourself over me.
17 But I am about to fall, And my pain is before me continually.
18 Therefore I will confess my iniquity, And I will be grieved for my sin.
19 For my enemies are alive and strong, And those who hate me without cause have increased.
20 Those who repay evil for good are contrary to me, because I follow what is good.
21 Do not forsake me, O Lord; My God, don’t walk away from me.
22 Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation.
1 I said: I will attend to my ways, So as not to sin with my tongue; I will keep my mouth with a bridle, As long as the wicked is before me.
2 I was silent with silence, I was silent even about what was good; And my pain worsened.
3 My heart was hot within me; In my meditation a fire was kindled, And thus I uttered with my tongue:
4 Let me know, Jehovah, my end, And what is the measure of my days; Let me know how fragile I am.
5 Behold, you gave my days a short term, And my age is as nothing before you; Surely every man who lives is complete vanity. Selah
6 Surely man is like a shadow; Surely he labors in vain; He accumulates riches, and does not know who will collect them.
7 And now, Lord, what shall I wait for? My hope is in you.
8 Deliver me from all my transgressions; Don’t make me the mockery of a fool.
9 I was silent, I did not open my mouth, Because you did it.
10 Take away your plague from me; I am consumed under the blows of your hand.
11 With punishments for sin you correct a man, And you destroy like a moth what is most dear to him; Surely every man is vanity. Selah
12 Hear my prayer, O Lord, and hear my cry. Do not be silent before my tears; For I am a stranger to you, and a stranger, like all my fathers.
13 Leave me, and I will gain strength, Before I go and perish.
1 I waited patiently for the Lord, and he bowed down to me and heard my cry.
2 And he brought me out of the pit of despair, out of the miry clay; He set my feet on the rock, and he straightened my steps.
3 Then he put a new song in my mouth, praise to our God. Many will see this, and will fear, And will trust in the Lord.
4 Blessed is the man who puts his trust in the Lord, And he does not regard the proud, nor those who turn away after lies.
5 You have increased your wonders, O Lord my God; And your thoughts towards us, It is not possible to tell them before you. If I announce and speak of them, They cannot be numbered.
6 Sacrifice and offering do not please you; You have opened my ears; Holocaust and atonement you have not demanded.
7 Then I said, Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me;
8 It has pleased me to do your will, my God, and your law is in the midst of my heart.
9 I have announced justice in a great congregation; Behold, I have not restrained my lips, Jehovah, you know.
10 I have not hidden your righteousness within my heart; I have published your faithfulness and your salvation; I did not hide your mercy and your truth in a great assembly.
11 Jehovah, do not withhold your mercies from me; Your mercy and your truth always keep me.
12 For evils without number have surrounded me; My evils have caught up with me, and I cannot look up. They have increased more than the hairs on my head, and my heart fails me.
13 May you, O Lord, deliver me; Jehovah, hurry to help me.
14 Let those who seek my life to destroy it be put to shame and confounded. Turn back and be ashamed, Those who wish my evil;
15 Let those who say to me: Hey, hey!
16 Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you, and let those who love your salvation always say: Jehovah be exalted.
17 Though I am afflicted and needy, the Lord will think of me. My help and my liberator are you; My God, do not delay.
1 Blessed is he who thinks of the poor; In the evil day the Lord will deliver him.
2 The Lord will preserve him and give him life; He will be blessed in the land, And you will not hand him over to the will of his enemies.
3 The Lord will sustain him on the bed of pain; You will make his whole bed soft in his illness.
4 I said, Lord, have mercy on me; Heal my soul, because I have sinned against you.
5 My enemies say evil of me, asking: When will he die, and his name perish?
6 And if they come to see me, they speak lies; Their hearts collect iniquity for themselves, And when they go out they spread it.
7 All those who hate me murmur against me together; They think evil against me, saying of me:
8 A pestilential thing has taken hold of him; And he who fell to bed will never get up again.
9 Even the man of my peace, in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, Lifted his heel against me.
10 But you, Jehovah, have mercy on me, and raise me up, and I will repay them.
11 By this I will know that I have pleased you, May my enemy not despise me.
12 As for me, you have upheld me in my integrity, and made me stand before you forever.
13 Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, forever and ever. Amen and amen.
1 As the deer pants for the streams of water, So pants my soul for you, O God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When will I come and appear before God?
3 My tears were my bread day and night, While they say to me every day: Where is your God?
4 I remember these things, and I pour out my soul within me; How I went with the crowd, and led them to the house of God, amidst voices of joy and praise from the people in celebration.
5 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and troubled within me? Wait on God; because I still have to praise him, my Salvation and my God.
6 My God, my soul is cast down within me; Therefore I will remember you from the land of Jordan, and the Hermonites from Mount Mizar.
7 One deep calls to another at the voice of your waterfalls; All your waves and waves have passed over me.
8 But by day the Lord will command his mercy, and by night his song will be with me, and my prayer to the God of my life.
9 I will say to God: My rock, why have you forgotten me? Why should I walk around in mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
10 As one who bruises my bones, my enemies reproach me, saying to me every day: Where is your God?
11 Why are you cast down, O my soul, And why are you troubled within me? Wait on God; because I still have to praise him, my Salvation and my God.
1 Judge me, O God, and defend my cause; Deliver me from wicked people, and from deceitful and wicked man.
2 Since you are the God of my strength, why have you rejected me? Why I go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
3 Send your light and your truth; these will guide me; They will lead me to your holy mountain, And to your dwellings.
4 I will enter the altar of God, To the God of my joy and joy; And I will praise you with the harp, O God, my God.
5 Why are you cast down, O my soul, And why are you troubled within me? Wait on God; because I still have to praise him, my Salvation and my God.
1 O God, with our ears we have heard, our fathers have told us, The work you did in their days, in the times of old.
2 You with your hand drove out the nations, and planted them; You afflicted the people, and drove them out.
3 For they did not take possession of the land by his sword, nor did his arm deliver them; But your right hand, and your arm, and the light of your face, because you took pleasure in them.
4 You, O God, are my king; Send salvation to Jacob.
5 Through you we will shake off our enemies; In your name we trample our adversaries.
6 For I will not trust in my bow, Nor will my sword save me;
7 For you have kept us from our enemies, and have shamed those who hated us.
8 We will glory in God always, And we will praise your name forever. Selah
9 But you have rejected us, and made us ashamed; And you don’t go out with our armies.
10 You have made us retreat before the enemy, And those who hate us plunder us for themselves.
11 You give us up like sheep to the slaughter, And you have scattered us among the nations.
12 You have sold your people for nothing; You didn’t demand any price.
13 You make us a disgrace to our neighbors, a mockery and mockery of those around us.
14 You made us a proverb among the nations; Everyone shakes their head when they see us.
15 Every day my shame is before me, And the confusion of my face covers me,
16 Because of the voice of him who reviles and dishonors me, Because of the enemy and the vengeful.
17 All this has come to us, and we have not forgotten you, And we have not broken your covenant.
18 Our hearts have not turned back, Nor have our steps departed from your paths,
19 So that you would destroy us in the place of jackals, and cover us with the shadow of death.
20 If we had forgotten the name of our God, Or lifted up our hands to another god,
21 Would not God require this? Because he knows the secrets of the heart.
22 But because of you they kill us every day; We are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
23 Wake up; why are you sleeping, Lord? Wake up, do not leave me forever.
24 Why do you hide your face, And forget our affliction, and our oppression?
25 For our soul is weighed down to the dust, and our body is bowed down to the ground.
26 Arise to help us, and redeem us because of your mercy
1 My heart overflows with good words; I direct my song to the king; My tongue is a very light writer’s pen.
2 You are the most beautiful of the sons of men; Grace poured out on your lips; Therefore, God has blessed you forever.
3 Gird your sword on your thigh, O mighty one, With your glory and with your majesty.
4 In your glory be prosperous; Ride on the word of truth, humility and justice, And your right hand will teach you terrible things.
5 Your sharp arrows, with which peoples will fall under you, Will penetrate the hearts of the king’s enemies.
6 Your throne, O God, is eternal and forever; Scepter of justice is the scepter of your kingdom.
7 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; Therefore God, your God, anointed you with the oil of joy more than your companions.
8 Myrrh, aloes and cassia exhale all your garments; From ivory palaces they recreate you.
9 Daughters of kings are among your illustrious ones; The queen is at your right hand with gold from Ophir.
10 Hear, daughter, and see, and incline your ear; She forgets your people, and your father’s house;
11 And the king will desire your beauty; And bow down to him, for he is your lord.
12 And the daughters of Tire will come with gifts; The rich people of the town will implore your favor.
13 All glorious is the king’s daughter in her dwelling; Her dress is of gold brocade.
14 She with embroidered garments she will be brought to the king; Her virgins will go after her, Her companions will be brought to you.
15 They will be brought with joy and gladness; They will enter the king’s palace.
16 Instead of your fathers will be your sons, Whom you will make princes in all the earth.
17 I will make the memory of your name perpetual in all generations, so the people will praise you forever and ever.
1 God is our refuge and strength, Our very present help in tribulations.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and the mountains be transferred into the heart of the sea;
3 Although its waters roar and are troubled, And the mountains tremble because of its violence. Selah
4 The river’s currents make glad the city of God, The sanctuary of the habitations of the Most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she will not be moved. God will help her when the morning dawns.
6 The nations roared, the kingdoms wavered; He gave his voice, the earth melted.
7 The Lord of hosts is with us; Our refuge is the God of Jacob. Selah
8 Come, see the works of the Lord, Who has laid desolations on the earth.
9 That he causes wars to cease to the ends of the earth. That he breaks the bow, cuts the spear, And burns the chariots in the fire.
10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted on earth.
11 The Lord of hosts is with us; Our refuge is the God of Jacob. Selah
1 All peoples, clap your hands; Shout out to God with a voice of joy.
2 For Jehovah the Most High is fearsome; great king over all the earth.
3 He will subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.
4 He will choose our inheritances for us; The beauty of Jacob, whom he loved. Selah
5 God came up with joy, Jehovah with the sound of a trumpet.
6 Sing to God, sing; Sing to our King, sing;
7 For God is the King of all the earth; Sing intelligently.
8 God reigned over the nations; God sat on his holy throne.
9 The princes of the people gathered together As the people of the God of Abraham;
10 For the shields of the earth belong to God; He is very exalted.
1 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, on his holy mountain.
2 Beautiful province, the joy of the whole earth, Is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north, The city of the great King.
3 In his palaces God is known as a refuge.
4 For behold, the kings of the earth are gathered together; They all passed.
5 And seeing her like this, they marveled, They were troubled, they hastened to flee.
6 Trembling took hold of them there; Pain like a woman giving birth.
7 With the east wind you destroy the ships of Tarshish.
8 As we have heard, so we have seen In the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God; God will establish it forever. Selah
9 We remember your mercy, O God, in the midst of your temple.
10 According to your name, O God, so is your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of justice.
11 Mount Zion will rejoice; The daughters of Judah will rejoice in your judgments.
12 Go around Zion, and surround her; Count her towers.
13 Consider carefully its rampart, Look at its palaces; So that you can tell it to the next generation.
14 For this God is our God forever and ever; He will guide us even beyond death.
1 Hear this, all you people; Listen, all inhabitants of the world,
2 Both the commoners and the nobles, The rich and the poor together.
3 My mouth will speak wisdom, and the thought of my heart understanding.
4 I will incline my ear to the proverb; I will declare my enigma with the harp.
5 Why should I fear in the days of adversity, When the iniquity of my oppressors surrounds me?
6 Those who trust in their possessions, And boast of the multitude of their riches,
7 None of them will be able in any way to redeem a brother, Nor give God his ransom
8 (For the redemption of his life is of great price, And will never be achieved),
9 So that he may live from now on forever, And never see corruption.
10 For you will see that even the wise die; Who perish in the same way as the senseless and the fool, And leave their riches to others.
11 His inner thought is that his houses will be eternal, and his habitations for generation and generation; They give their names to their lands.
12 But man will not remain in honor; He is like the beasts that perish.
13 This his way is madness; However, his descendants take pleasure in their saying. Selah
14 Like flocks that are driven to Sheol, Death will shepherd them, And the upright will rule over them in the morning; His good appearance will be consumed, and Sheol will be his dwelling place.
15 But God will redeem my life from the power of Sheol, For he will take me to himself. Selah
16 Do not be afraid when someone becomes rich, When the glory of his house increases;
17 For when he dies he will carry nothing, Nor will his glory descend after him.
18 Though as long as he lives, he calls his soul blessed, And he is praised when he prospers,
19 He will enter into the generation of his fathers, And will never see the light again.
20 The man who is in honor and does not understand is like unto the beasts that perish.
1 The God of gods, Jehovah, has spoken and summoned the earth, from the rising of the sun to its setting.
2 From Zion, perfection of beauty, God has shone.
3 Our God will come, and he will not be silent; Fire will consume before him, And a mighty tempest will surround him.
4 He will call the heavens above, and the earth, to judge his people.
5 Gather to me my saints, Those who made a covenant with me with sacrifice.
6 And the heavens will declare his justice, For God is the judge. Selah
7 Hear, my people, and I will speak; Listen, Israel, and I will testify against you: I am God, your God.
8 I will not rebuke you for your sacrifices, Nor for your burnt offerings, which are continually before me.
9 I will not take calves from your house, nor goats from your sheepfolds.
10 For every beast of the forest is mine, and the thousands of animals on the hills.
11 I know all the birds of the mountains, and everything that moves in the fields belongs to me.
12 If I were hungry, I would not tell you; Because the world is mine and the fullness thereof.
13 Shall I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats?
14 Sacrifice praise to God, And pay your vows to the Most High;
15 And call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.
16 But God said to the evil one: Why have you to speak of my laws, and to take my covenant in your mouth?
17 For you hate correction, And you cast my words behind your back.
18 If you saw the thief, you ran with him, and with the adulterers it was your part.
19 Your mouth committed evil, and your tongue committed deceit.
20 You sat down and spoke against your brother; You brought infamy against your mother’s son.
21 These things you did, and I am silent; You thought that I would truly be like you; But I will rebuke you, and set them before your eyes.
22 Understand this now, you who forget God, lest He tear you to pieces, and there is no one to rescue you.
23 He who sacrifices praise will honor me; And to him who directs his way, I will show him the salvation of God.
